-
Our Leagues will be operating most of the year round. However, CGi Leagues will not be running during:
28th to the last day of each month.
Leagues operate over 27 day periods. Leagues will begin on the 1st of each calendar month and end on the 27th. This allows a grace period at the end of each month to schedule rematches and conclude disputes (as well as manage all the pesky administration required to maintain the leagues!)
September
CGi has been around the gaming industry since 2012. We are completely aware that September brings challenges for clans, with many members returning to studies and or adapting to relocations to coincide with school terms.
That is why we have decided to shut-down in September, to allow respectable periods for our community to focus on life during high pressure points.
-
Each League consists of:
5 x Clans
5 x Players per Clan
1 x Clan Leader
1 x Clan Co-Leader
3 x Members
Leagues operate over 28 day periods. Leagues will begin on the 1st of each calendar month and end on the 28th. This allows a grace period at the end of each month to schedule rematches and conclude disputes (as well as manage all the pesky administration required to maintain the leagues!)
1 League will contain 5 Clans. Each clan will be assigned an opponent clan to compete against on a 7 day rotation. This ensures each clan has sufficient time to organise and complete games against each opposing clan within the 28 day period.
Clans will compete against members of their opposing team on a free-flow basis - allowing 7 days for each clan member to schedule their games against their opponents. This provides flexible time to account for life's interventions (Holidays, Mental Health Breaks, etc).
-
We are well aware that each game has a unique scoring system - which is why our Leagues have been tailored to reflect your in game performance, and communicate that in a familiar language to you and your competitors.
Our scoring system is designed to simplify how we measure points earned, and set clear expectations to you on how to accrue those points.
In the simplest form - You will earn LP through your achievements, with no deduction for your loses.
Games are won through outplaying your opponent - we have structured our leagues to measure your ambition to go out and win. We do not reward safety play - such as scoring 1 point and waiting for time to run out!
Here in our leagues we only reward bravery, confidence, and true champions!
Here are three examples of how LP can be translated across game genres:
Strategy Games
Example: Clash Royale:
Clash Royale's scoring system is simple - Destroy towers, earn a crown. If one of your towers are destroyed, your opponent gains a crown. Games are capped at 3 crown wins.
Our Clash Royale league will earn you LP based quite simply on Crowns.
For example: Player A v Player B
Player A wins a game 3-1
Player A gains +3 LP
Player B loses 1-3
Player B gains +1 LP
Each player is rewarded corresponding LP to that of their achievements - with Player A earning more LP than Player B - while Player B is still rewarded for their success in achieving 1 in game point.
(NOTE: 2v2 Games can be arranged within our leagues. In this case, LP will be assigned to both players in each team, aligning with the outcome of the match. Using the above example - Players 1 and 2 from Team A will gain 3 LP each, and Players 1 and 2 from Team B will gain 1 LP each).
Sport Games
Example: FIFA (Any):
FIFA adopts a point system based on wins (+3), draws (+1), and losses (0). We have scrapped that. As above, LP will be assigned on merit.
For example: Player A v Player B
Player A wins the game 5-2
Player A gains +5 LP
Player B gains + 2 LP
The same logic applies, where LP aligns with goals scored, with no discredit to goals conceded.
Shoot-em-ups
Example: Call of Duty (Mobile)
Call of Duty hosts many different game types (which we want to include within our leagues!).
Rather than complicate the scoring system based on multiple stats - LP will be assigned based on total game score. Here are some examples:
Team Deathmatch: Points are earned through Kills, Assists, score-streaks etc - Building to total game score and converted to LP.
Search & Destroy: Points are earned through Kills, Assists, bomb plants, Bomb defuses, score-streaks etc - Building to total game score and converted to LP.
Domination: Points are earned through Kills, Assists, Flag captures, Defends, score-streaks etc - Building to total game score and converted to LP.
-
At the end of each monthly, our team will identify and contact the top LP earners within each league who will be eligible to compete in our MVP tournament!
This will be a knock-out style tournament running over 3 days with the Final being played and winner announced on the final day of the month.
Unique prizes will be communicated for each game type.
After the conclusion of the tournament, the top 3 performers will automatically qualify their clan for free membership for the upcoming month.
To avoid a monopoly, MVP free membership rewards will only be applied for 3 consecutive months, after which, a 1 month cool-down period will be applied. This is to apply equal opportunities for the remainder of the community.

Choose your Clan Leader wisely!
Responsibilities
Clan Leaders will be considered a team's primary representative between CGi and opposing team leaders.
As a Clan Leader - you are responsible for your team. Your leadership skills will be a direct reflection of your teams conduct, co-ordination, and performance. You are accountable for the following responsibilities:
Sign up and registration of each Clan Member.
Maintaining monthly subscription to CGi Leagues (Jan 2025 onward).
Submitting weekly team scores.
Liaising with CGi Staff to resolve conflicts/disputes/forfeits.
Confirming Leadership and Member transfers.
-
Clan Leaders are responsible for registering a new clan and must meet the sign up criteria.
(NOTE: Please ensure you are familiar with Clan Leader - Responsibilities).
Clan Leaders must register their clan through our sign up process and creating an active subscription.
Here, all details regarding the clans description and registered members will be provided.
Further information on Sign up:
New clan entrants can only be submitted between 28th - 31st of each month.
Any submissions submitted between 1st - 27th of the month will be pending until the cool down period.
New entrant Clans will automatically be assigned to the lowest ranked league.
In the event that a new league that can not be filled with 5 clans - The new league will still be created providing a minimum of 2 Clans are available to compete.
If 1 Clan is available - No league will be created and the Clan Leader will be notified that their League is pending. To ensure no new Clan is left unregistered for longer than 1 month, this new clan will Automatically qualify for placement in the pre-existing bottom league - replacing the lowest ranked Clan the previous period.
Where 2 clans are available, game periods can be repeated to ensure a full season of play - with LP scores compiling to create a total period score.
Where 3 clans are available, game periods will be repeated twice over - where each clan will face the opposing 2 clans twice within the 28 day cycle.
Where 4 clans are available, a monthly cycle will be reduced to 3 weeks to ensure fair competition between 4 clans.
-
If you are joining our Leagues with a new clan, new members will be enrolled by your Clan Leader.
If you wish to enrol to a pre-existing clan as a transfer, please submit your sign up information to your Clan Leader and follow the "Member and Leadership Transfer" process.

Forfeits are determined when a Clan fails to attend a game by the end of the 9 day cycle, or fails to report their scores.
Forfeits will assign an LP gain to the opposing team, providing that they have reported their score. The forfeiting player will receive a score of 0 LP for that game.
LP allocations will be given to the non-forfeiting team circumstantial to the games average LP earnings. Specific details on forfeit allocations will be described within the "Rules" section of your chosen game.
Repeated forfeits will not be penalised further than receiving 0 LP. This is to encourage Clan Leaders to ensure their teams are actively engaged with the leagues, while not punishing teams for having inactive members for unforeseen circumstances. (See "Member and Leader Transfers" for more information on inactive accounts.)
-
At the end of each month, your clan's total LP will determine your movement within the Leagues.
The Clan with the most LP will be promoted to the league above.
The Clan with the lowest amount of LP will be demoted to the league below.
Clans in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place will remain in their existing league for the following month.
In the event of a tie in LP scores that determines promotion or demotion - Each Clan's lowest scoring LP earner will determine the decision. Here are some examples:
Promotion
Clan A's lowest scoring member scored a monthly total of 10LP.
Clan B's lowest scoring member scored a monthly total of 12LP.
Clan B gets promoted.
Demotion
Clan A's lowest scoring member scored a monthly total of 10LP. Clan B's lowest scoring member scored a monthly total of 12LP.
Clan A gets demoted.
In the unlikely event that multiple Clans monthly LP scores are identical - Clan Leaders from each of the drawing teams will nominate 1 member from their clan to compete in a "Tie-Breaker".
"Tie-Breakers" must be scheduled and played within 48 hours of the final day in the league (Typically, this deadline will be the 30th of the month).
If Clan Leaders are unavailable at this time, Clan Members can nominate the participant of the "Tie-Breaker" within the Discord Server.
Failure to aknowledge, or participate in, "Tie-Breakers", will result in a forfeit. Points will be automatically awarded to the opposing clan who has submitted their nominee. (For more information on forfeits, see the "Forfeit" drop down).
